Paste tomatoes are great for sauces because they are very meaty and have very few seeds. I always grow paste tomatoes for making salsa. Some heart tomatoes also work well as large paste tomatoes but are typically more juicy. I will be trialing many heirloom paste this year in my search to find the best.
