Spudakee

Indet., potato leaf plants. Large purple-black beefsteaks, 5-12 oz, with excellent rich flavor typical for black varieties. Does well in heat/humidity. A potato leafed version of Cherokee Purple that appeared at about the same time as Cherokee Purple, Potato Leaf. It has been propagated and privately distributed since by Bill Malin of Hillsboro, New Mexico. Bill Malin got his original seeds from a friend in Ohio who found the original potato leaf version of his Cherokee Purple in his Ohio garden. Bill named it 'Spudakee'.
